Commissioned by the Saint-Denis Festival, this show is a cross between a storytelling and a concert. Based on an idea by cellist Héloïse Luzzati and pianist David Kadouch, The Life of Fanny Mendelssohn gives voice and life to a figure long in the shadows: that of a 19th-century composer whose genius was eclipsed by her brother. Through a text narrated by actress Marianne Denicourt, the story explores the place of female composers in the history of classical music, but also the quest for emancipation and freedom. This project is part of a rediscovery process led by the association La Cité des Compositrices, founded by Héloïse Luzzati and which works to restore the place of forgotten female composers in the history of music.
3 free sessions for leisure centers and schools are organized on May 21 and 22
