Bach La Passion selon Saint-Jean
Concert with surtitles
Composed in 1724, this Passion is one of Bach’s most moving works, combining dramatic recitatives, poignant arias and powerful choruses. Through his balance of lyricism and spirituality, Bach takes the listener on a musical journey where each note and each silence reveals pain and compassion.
It is the Polish conductor Marta Gardolińska, one of the most brilliant young conductors of today, with an international career, who will lead the Orchestre de chambre de Paris in this Passion, performed by leading soloists and the admirable Chœur de Chambre de Namur.
