“Everywhere and for everyone in Île-de-France” is the motto of the Orchestre national d’Île-de-France, which promotes the symphonic repertoire throughout the region and brings it within everyone’s reach.
Resident at the Philharmonie de Paris, the Orchestra’s 95 permanent musicians give around a hundred concerts a season throughout the region, offering the people of Île-de-France the chance to enjoy a repertoire spanning four centuries of music. The Orchestra has an ambitious, open-minded artistic policy, nurtured by regular collaborations with a wide range of artists from diverse backgrounds. It promotes and supports contemporary creation by welcoming composers in residence such as Anna Clyne, Dai Fujikura and Guillaume Connesson, for commissions of symphonic works, opera performances and musical tales to enrich its repertoire.
Case Scaglione has been appointed Music Director and Principal Conductor for 2019. On the strength of his excellent artistic collaboration, he has been reappointed until August 2026. A fervent supporter of the Orchestra’s mission, this bright and energetic young conductor enjoys sharing his passion for the symphonic and operatic repertoire.
The Orchestre is also a frequent guest at prestigious festivals in France and abroad.
The Orchestre National d’Île-de-France performs regularly at the Festival de Saint-Denis. It took part in the 2022 edition with McSolaar and the 2023 edition with Gregory Porter, conducted by Fiona Monbet.
