Praised by Forum Opera for her “dynamic and inspired” conducting, Camille Delaforge is renowned for her nuanced and expressive performances. Recent notable performances include the Aix-en-Provence Festival (where she was resident conductor last summer alongside Emmanuelle Haïm), the Bilbao Festival, the Salzburg Festival, the Festival de Radio France, and the Orchestre National de Cannes.
Passionate about the vocal repertoire, Camille Delaforge regularly collaborates with leading opera singers at prestigious festivals such as the Sablé Festival, the Festival Radio France (Montpellier), the Potager du Roi (Versailles), the Oude Muziek Festival (Utrecht), the Rosa Bonheur Festival, and the Agapé Festival (Geneva), among others. She maintains a long-standing collaboration with bass-baritone Guilhem Worms, with whom she has worked on several chamber music programs, including Mozart and Salieri (piano four-hands, with Karolos Zouganelis), La Dame de mes Songes (20th-century Franco-Spanish repertoire), and Près de mon coeur (French melodies).
During the 2024/25 season, Camille Delaforge will conduct Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas with the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra at the Dutch National Opera, Rameau’s Pygmalion at the Opéra Royal de Versailles, as well as several projects at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and the Grand Théâtre de Provence, among others. With her ensemble Il Caravaggio, she will conduct Campra’s Le Carnaval de Venise in prestigious venues such as the Opéra de Rennes, Angers, Nantes, and the Atelier Lyrique de Tourcoing.
Camille Delaforge holds a master’s degree from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris. Committed to developing sociocultural exchanges through musical education, she has developed several humanitarian projects, including teaching disadvantaged children in Ecuador. With her ensemble Il Caravaggio, she also leads cultural outreach projects in schools and with disadvantaged audiences in the Val d’Oise, Essonne, and Seine-Saint-Denis regions.
She has recorded for the Warner, Alpha Classics, Klarthe, and Château de Versailles Spectacles labels.
