Camille began her musical journey at the age of four with the violin, later joining the children’s choir of the Opéra de Lyon, where she took part in numerous productions including L’enfant et les sortilèges (Ravel), La Bohème (Puccini), and Brundibar (Janáček). She went on to sing with the children’s choir La Cigale de Lyon, performing in many countries, including China.
She received her vocal training with Catherine Maerten at the ENM in Villeurbanne, and in 2014 joined the class of Gilles Cachemaille at the Haute École de Musique de Genève, where she completed her Master’s degree in 2019 under the guidance of Marcin Habela.
In 2016, she was awarded a scholarship by the Cercle Romand Richard Wagner to attend the prestigious Bayreuth Festival, and in June 2017, she received a special prize from the City of Geneva for her bachelor recital.
Her passion for ensemble music has led her to collaborate with numerous professional choirs such as Pygmalion (Raphaël Pichon), Chœur Spirito (Nicole Corti), Calliope Voix de femmes (Régine Théodoresco), the choirs of the Grand Théâtre de Genève and the Opéra de Lyon, as well as with various French and Swiss early music ensembles.
On stage, she has performed the role of Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel (Humperdinck) in Lyon, Isifile in Cavalli’s Il Giasonein Geneva, and Donna Anna (Don Giovanni, Mozart) with the company Brins de Voix. She also portrayed the Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro in Lausanne under the baton of Leonardo García Alarcón. As a soloist, she regularly performs oratorio repertoire, including Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, Mozart’s Requiem and Mass in C minor, and Verdi’s Requiem.
In addition to her musical pursuits, Camille holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and a Master’s degree in Management.
In 2024, Camille Allérat performed at the Saint-Denis Festival with her ensemble La Néréide in a preview concert at the church of Saint-Denys-de-L’Estrée, and also gave a series of 12 recitals in high schools across the Île-de-France region as part of the festival’s outreach program.
