Camille discovered music at the age of 4, first playing the violin, then joining the Opéra National de Lyon choir, where she took part in several productions, including L’enfant et les sortilèges (Ravel), La Bohème (Puccini) and Brundibár (Janáček). She then sang in the children’s choir La Cigale de Lyon, with whom she performed in many countries, including China.
She studied with Catherine Maerten at the ENM in Villeurbanne, before joining Gilles Cachemaille’s class at the Geneva University of Music in 2014. She will complete her Masters in Marcin Habela’s class in 2019.
In 2016, she was awarded a grant from the Cercle Romand Richard Wagner at the prestigious Bayreuth Festival and in June 2017 received a special prize from the City of Geneva for her Bachelor’s recital.
Her passion for ensemble music has led her to work with several professional choirs, including the Pygmalion ensemble (Raphaël Pichon), the Spirito Choir (Nicole Corti), Calliope Voix de femmes (Régine Théodoresco), the choirs of the Grand Théâtre de Génève and the Opéra National de Lyon, as well as with early music ensembles in France and Switzerland.
On stage she is Gretel in Hansel and Gretel (Humperdinck) in Lyon, she sings Isifile in Cavalli’s Giasone in Geneva and plays Donna Anne (Don Giovanni, Mozart) with the Brins de Voix company. She was the Countess in The Marriage of Figaro in Lausanne, conducted by Leonardo García Alarcón. She regularly appears as a soloist in oratorio works including Pergolese’s Stabat Mater, Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, Mozart’s Requiem and Mass in C, and Verdi’s Requiem.
She also holds a degree in philosophy and a master’s in management.
