Thomas Vincent began playing classical guitar at the CRR in Nîmes at the age of 5. At the age of 13, he began studying electric guitar as well as jazz and gypsy guitar. At the age of 18, he enrolled in the faculty of musicology, where he studied writing and musicological research. He began training as a singer and worked in several opera choirs. At the same time, he developed a passion for the Renaissance lute. At the age of 23, he entered Rolf Lislevand’s class at the CNSMD in Lyon, where he is currently pursuing a Master’s degree and DE training; he began playing the baroque lute and theorbo.
He specialises in galant music and Baroque improvisation, and has founded several ensembles (Edelweiss, Les Accords Nouveaux, etc.). Thomas Vincent works on baroque music and on arranging, freedom of interpretation and musicological research.
After an Erasmus in Italy with Evangelina Mascardi to perfect his technical skills on the baroque lute, he joined the young artists programme of the ensemble Les Lunaisiens: Les Comètes.
