David Kadouch is a French pianist and chamber musician. His international career began at the tender age of 13, when he performed in concert with Itzhak Perlman in New York. A finalist in several competitions, he was named Young Artist of the Year at the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) in 2011. He performs and records with an emphasis on chamber and contemporary music.
His repertoire includes not only the usual classical and romantic works for piano, from Bach to Beethoven and Mendelssohn to Saint-Saëns, but also less frequently performed works such as Arvo Pärt’s Lamentate, Guillaume Connesson’s piano concert The Shining One and Sergei Taneyev’s Prelude and Fugue, op. 29.
Kadouch played for international music festivals such as the Klavier-Festival Ruhr, the Jerusalem Festival, the Sommets musicaux de Gstaad, the Verbier Festival, the Colmar Festival, the Festival de La Roque-d’Anthéron and La Folle Journée in Nantes. He worked with conductors Gábor Takács-Nagy, Jean-Claude Casedesus, Charles Dutoit and Myung-Whun Chung. His chamber music partners include the Quatuor Ébène, the Quatuor Modigliani, Edgar Moreau, Renaud Capuçon and Gautier Capuçon.
David Kadouch performed at the Festival de Saint-Denis in 2012 in a recital with Yan Levionnois as well as in 2021 in a solo recital.
