The Festival of All Voices!
For its 56th edition, the Saint-Denis Festival continues its programming of major works from the repertoire performed by internationally renowned artists (Pretty Yende, Ludovic Tézier, Marie-Nicole Lemieux, Renaud Capuçon, Aziz Shokhakimov, Jérémie Rhorer, Sandrine Piau , Julien Chauvin, David Kadouch, Emiliano Gonzalez-Toro, Amandine Beyer, Thomas Dunford, etc.) and by promising young artists (Axelle Fanyo, Sahy Ratia, Elsa Benoit, Florentin Ginot, Adèle Charvet, Paul Zientara, etc.) while opening up to other musical aesthetics such as world music, rock or electro-pop (this year with Souad Massi and Blick Bassy).
For the first time you will be offered a series of concerts in the intimate and exceptional setting of the upper choir of the Basilica, recently renovated, and above all the very first edition of a Festival within the Festival, intended for young spectators and families in the frame of the Basilica and the Legion of Honor.
For several years now, you have been able to enjoy stage offerings in the Basilica that go beyond the traditional concert; we are continuing in this direction by staging a concert in the Basilica (La Resurrezione de Handel on June 13) but also by projections at the back of the stage for the Don Quixote evenings on May 29 and Blick Bassy on June 27. At the Legion of Honor, Marina Chiche’s “only musical performance”, presented as part of the Cultural Olympiad (with other surprises to come!), will also be staged.
Aimed primarily at the youth of our region, we also continue and enrich our music awareness activities year after year (concerts, meetings, conferences, musical practice) among a very wide audience, from the youngest students to public of the social field to which a solidarity ticket office is now dedicated, without forgetting the students who are so numerous in our territory.
The Saint-Denis Festival is doing everything it can to ensure that 2024 also presents, alongside the very big sporting event that we are all waiting for, a season rich in music shared by as many people as possible, young and old!
