MOZART SINFONIA CONCERTANTE, K. 364
MOZART VESPERAE SOLENNES DE CONFESSORE, K.339
MESSIAEN THREE SHORT LITURGIES OF THE DIVINE PRESENCE
A famous and intensely expressive Mozart piece, at the crossroads of symphony and concerto, which make Renaud Capuçon’s violin sing and converse with the alto of his accomplice Adrien La Marca; a Mozart piece of the Vesperæ solennes for voices not only in chorus but in a state of grace, masterfully conducted through the orchestra’s luxuriance; and finally a Messiaen, for its joy, its rhythms and its colours – boasting ondes Martenot, piano and celesta, strings and vibraphone, and of course children’s voices, offering a “divine” auditory stained-glass window of a composition.
A concert in the form of a poetic triptych, by three musical ensembles from Radio France, conducted by Sofi Jeannin.
