MOZART CONCERTO FOR CLARINET
Rinaldo Alessandrini, master of Italian baroque, turns to the classics in conducting Mozart with France’s chamber orchestra of reference.
After Monteverdi, whom Rinaldo Alessandrini has presented at the Festival in the past, the choice of Mozart is hardly surprising, given that Mozart was himself fascinated by Italy.
To our great delight, he is supported by Lucy Crowe, the ideal performer of the Exsultate Jubilate and Raphaël Sévère, a young French clarinet prodigy.

The royal Basilica of Saint-Denis used to be the church of a prosperous, powerful abbey in the Middle Ages, and was the first monumental masterpiece of Gothic art. The royal necropolis houses the tombs of the Kings of France, and boasts remarkable funeral sculptures from the 12th century to the 16th century (Dagobert, Pepin the Short, Francis I, Catherine de’ Medici…)
