Born in Sacramento, California to a pastor mother with a family of nine children, Gregory Porter started singing in jazz clubs and Gospel choirs very early on; these two musical genres inspired him in his youth.
Gifted with an impressive vocal technique and musicality, Gregory Porter, who now enjoys an international career, has become a leading ambassador of today’s black American music.

The royal Basilica of Saint-Denis used to be the church of a prosperous, powerful abbey in the Middle Ages, and was the first monumental masterpiece of Gothic art. The royal necropolis houses the tombs of the Kings of France, and boasts remarkable funeral sculptures from the 12th century to the 16th century (Dagobert, Pepin the Short, Francis I, Catherine de’ Medici…)
